PRIVACY POLICY
Institute of Marine Engineers (India) (“IME(I)”) is a charitable trust registered under the
Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. IME(I) endeavours to provide the highest standards of services
and products to our users. Hereon, wherever the context so requires “you” or “your” shall
refer to all users and the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” shall refer to IME(I).
SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you use our app, we collect certain essential personal information you give us such as
your name, address and email address. we also automatically receive your computer’s
internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about
your browser and operating system. When you use this App, we may obtain data from and
about you in order to facilitate our operations. We collect your personal data as well as non-
personal data. We limit such collection to the minimum needs of operation. With your
permission, we may send you emails about our app, new announcements from IME(I) and
other updates.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal
information.

- Information you provide: We may collect information that you provide when you
upload your images, such as your name, profile picture, email address, and other
contact information.
- Device information: We may automatically collect information about your device
when you use our Play Distributed App, such as your device type, operating
system, and IP address.
- Use of Personal Information
We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
To provide and improve our Play Distributed App, including to authenticate your identity
and to process your image uploads.
To communicate with you, such as to provide customer support or to send you updates
about our App.
To comply with legal obligations, such as responding to legal process or to government
requests.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following
circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may disclose your personal information to third-party
service providers that help us provide and improve our Play Distributed App.

expressly agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, in addition to our Terms and Conditions

information provided by you on our App in accordance to this Privacy Policy, including but
not limiting to your consent for sharing your information as per this Privacy Policy. If you do
not agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy provided herein and hereafter, please do not use
or access our App.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent by uninstalling the
App and inform for us by dropping a mail to hgs@imare.in to contact you, for the continued
collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time. We shall not be responsible for
any communication, if addressed, to any non-designated person in this regard.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate
our Terms of Service. To collect your information, we use technologies such as cookies, Flash
cookies, pixel-tags, software development kits, mobile application program interfaces,
analytics tools, and web beacons.
SECTION 5 4 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your
information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
We acquire information from other trusted sources to update or supplement the information
you provided or we collected automatically, such as when we validate postal address
information using third party services. Applicable law may require that you authorize the third
party to share your information with us before we can acquire it.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are
located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a
transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information
may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its
facilities are located. Once you leave our App’s website or are redirected to a third-party
website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s
Terms of Service.
