This Privacy Policy describes how IME I Connect ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the IME I Connect mobile application (iOS and Android), the IME I Connect Admin Panel, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). IME I Connect is a private membership and communication platform for the members of our organization, their family members, and authorized administrators.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you register or use the Service, you may provide:

• Account & profile data: name, mobile number, email address, password, date of birth, gender, profile photo, address, country, blood group, profession, and other member directory details.
• Family information: spouse and children details that you choose to add to your member profile.
• Group & sub-group memberships: the groups, sub-groups, committees and roles assigned to you by your organization administrator.
• Event & attendance data: RSVPs, attendance check-ins, and event participation records.
• User-generated content: photos and captions in albums, announcements, e-bulletins, IMelange newsletters, MERs (Monthly Event Reports), service directory entries, web links, and any documents you upload.
• Communications: messages, feedback, or support requests sent through the app or to us directly.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, app version, and language settings.
• Usage data: features accessed, pages viewed, login timestamps, and crash/diagnostic logs that help us improve the app's stability.
• Push notification tokens: a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver event reminders, announcements, and other in-app notifications.
• Authentication data: session tokens stored locally on your device to keep you signed in.

1.3 Permissions Requested by the Mobile App

The IME I Connect mobile app may request the following device permissions. You can grant or deny each permission, and revoke them at any time from your device settings:

• Camera & Photo Library: to upload your profile picture and to add photos to event albums.
• Storage / Files: to save downloaded documents, e-bulletins, and other files you choose to download.
• Contacts (optional): only when you explicitly choose to share or invite a contact; we do not upload your full address book.
• Notifications: to deliver event reminders, announcements, and important updates from your organization.
• Internet / Network access: to communicate with our secure servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to operate and improve the Service, including to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your account securely.
• Display the member directory and connect you with other members of your organization.
• Manage groups, sub-groups, executive committees, governing council records, and past presidents lists.
• Publish announcements, events, upcoming events, e-bulletins, IMelange newsletters, MERs, photo albums, and service directory entries.
• Record attendance and generate participation reports.
• Send push notifications and reminders relating to organization activities.
• Respond to support requests and provide customer service.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your information for third-party advertising and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

3. How Information Is Shared

3.1 With other members

IME I Connect is a private member-directory app. Profile fields you add (such as your name, photo, contact details, profession, and family info) may be visible to other authenticated members of your organization through the in-app member directory, as configured by your administrator. You can ask your organization administrator to update or hide specific fields.

3.2 With administrators

Authorized administrators of your organization can view, edit, and manage member records, groups, attendance, and content through the IME I Connect Admin Panel for the purpose of running the organization's activities.

3.3 With service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf strictly to operate the Service:

• Cloud hosting for application servers, databases, and file storage.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for delivering push notifications.
• SMS / email gateways for sending one-time passwords, password resets, and transactional notifications.

These providers are bound by contract to use your information only as needed to provide their services to us.

3.4 For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of IME I Connect, our members, or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service. If your membership ends or you request deletion, your personal data will be removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, audit, or legitimate organizational purposes.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and use industry-standard safeguards, including:

• HTTPS / TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the app and our servers.
• Hashed and salted password storage.
• Role-based access controls so that only authorized administrators can view or edit member data.
• Secure cloud infrastructure with regular backups.

While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

6. Children's Privacy

IME I Connect is intended for adult members of our organization and their authorized family members. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where children's information (for example, names of members' children) is added to a member's family profile, it is added and managed by the parent / guardian member and is visible only within the private member directory.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access & correction: view and update your profile from within the app, or request changes from your administrator.
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us at the address below.
• Notifications: turn off push notifications from your device settings at any time.
• Permissions: revoke camera, photo, contacts, or storage permissions from your device settings.
• Withdraw consent: stop using the Service at any time.

8. International Data Transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than the one you reside in. By using the Service you consent to the transfer of your information to those countries, which may have different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure your information is treated securely and in line with this Privacy Policy wherever it is processed.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, in the Web Links section or in announcements). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
